Compliance Audits

he audit that are under taken are assessed  against Health and social care Act 2008 regulation 2010 section 3  regulations 9 to 24. The Audit tools are based on CQC guidance of essential standards of quality and safety. The audit tool that has been developed – takes into account all subsection from each area that pertinent to the service e.g. 1A  Primary source of evidence for the audit is taken from the people using the service. This would include talking to residents in the care home and asking them of their experience and understanding of the service. E.g. does the resident have the information and understanding about the risk /benefits of the care support and treatment being provided?

All information accessed is with consent from the resident and is compliant with data protection Act 1998.

The audit draws from a   sample of information from the each area that is being audited, Eg medication or personnel files.

The audit provides the client with rating in each area in regards to compliance.  The report provides the client with suggestions and recommendations on how to become compliant.
